HISTORY OF THE REGULATION OF CHIROPRACTORS IN B.C.
In 1934, the provincial government established the College of Chiropractors of British Columbia (CCBC) to regulate chiropractors in B.C. Today, more than 1,000 doctors of chiropractic practice throughout B.C. These doctors graduate from accredited schools primarily located in North America.
On June 28, 2024, the College of Chiropractors amalgamated with the College of Massage Therapists of BC, the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC, and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC to form the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia.
