History of the regulation of naturopathic physicians in B.C.
Naturopathic medicine has been regulated in British Columbia since 1936, originally under the Naturopaths Act. On January 1, 2000, it became a designated health profession under the Health Professions Act and was regulated by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC until June 7, 2024.
Currently, naturopathic physicians are regulated by the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC under the Health Professions and Occupations Act.
